Xiaomi Has Unveiled its Very First OLED TV

Published on July 2, 2020

Xiaomi has officially launched the company’s first line of OLED TVs in China. Xiaomi is calling the new family of TVs ‘Master Series.’ The lineup begins with a 65-inch model that features a 10-bit 120Hz 4K LG OLED panel. This panel covers up to 98.5 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The new Xiaomi TV has got just about every feature a consumer would want in a TV set such as support for all HDR standards (HDR, HLG, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+,) latest HDMI 2.1, and a 5-channel, 65-watt Dolby Atmos sound system.

Also on the feature list is variable refresh rates, motion compensation, and amazing 1-millisecond response time which is great for gaming. Xiaomi is declaring that this TV is ‘born for the next generation of game consoles.’ Of course, it has extremely thin bezels, and contemporary design with a glass-like base and ambient lighting.

You can buy one now for about $1,840, which beats the price of Vizio’s new 65 inch OLED TV. However, the Master Series 65-inch OLED TVs from Xiaomi wouldn’t likely be sold stateside at that low of a price because Xiaomi subsidizes the cost in China by including value-added content with it.
