William Shatner Will Have To Wait Until October 13th To Go Where 562 People Have Gone Before

Bezos and company have delayed William Shatner’s launch by 1 day. Now, Shatner is expected to fly to space on NS-18 on October 13th at 9:30AM EST. The reason for the delay is officially the weather, but I think we all know that Jeff Bezos is probably too busy filing another lawsuit against SpaceX to do the launch.

Shatner’s flight is a huge publicity move for Blue Origin. Of course, what rocket company doesn’t want to be the one that takes Captain Kirk to space? Also, at 90 years old, William Shatner is going to be the oldest person to ever fly to space.

The historic takeoff is scheduled to occur only a few weeks after an essay described Blue Origin as a ‘toxic environment.’ So, this is much-needed positive publicity for the space firm.
