Here Tesla goes again, topping another delivery record. The Elon Musk-based EV maker has delivered an all-time high of 201,250 vehicles in the second quarter of this year. This is the very first time it has ever shipped more than 200,000 cars to customers in a quarter. By comparison, just one quarter prior the company delivered 184,800 machines.

Model Y and Model 3 deliveries represented nearly all of the 200,000. Tesla delivered only 1,890 Model S and Model X vehicles.

Tesla was able to pull this off despite many challenges. We don’t know exactly what all the challenges were, but Elon did previously mention major supply chain pricing issues as a factor. The automotive industry as a whole has been struggling with chip shortages, but for Tesla, raw materials are also a problem.
