Samsung Galaxy S9 “Unlikely” To Be Unwrapped At Consumer Electronics Show 2018

Published on December 7, 2017

The fans are eagerly waiting for Samsung Galaxy S9 which has become the talk of the town. According to the previous reports, the smartphone will be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2018 in Las Vegas in January, but it could just be a rumor.

Coming straight to the point, a spokesperson for Samsung set the records straight in the latest statement to  The Korea Herald, says it’s “unlikely.”

The South Korean brand cleared the rumors that Galaxy S9 will be unwrapped at CES 2018. According to the new rumors, Samsung will unveil the upcoming Galaxy flagship in a big event in order to go like Apple’s latest iPhone X.

Galaxy S9 is now likely to release in February at the Mobile World Congress 2018 or it could be released in March at its launch event. As the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6, and Galaxy S7 were all released at the MWC while the  Galaxy S8 was unwrapped at Samsung’s own launch event in New York.

According to the Korea Herald, the industry watchers also believe the same. In addition, the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6, and Galaxy S8 were all revealed in April while Galaxy S7 was released in March which indicated that upcoming Galaxy S9 may hit the stores in these months next year, but it is just a guess.

Let me mention here that if the Korean brand chooses to launch the device at February event then the Galaxy s9 unwrapping date is likely to be February 25 as MWC kicks off the event on February and the Korean brand usually unveil its smartphones one day before.

According to the rumors, the upcoming Galaxy S9 will not be the upgraded upgrade from the Galaxy S8 and it will come with similar design and almost same space. Obviously, the improvements are expected including a Snapdragon 845 or an Exynos 9810. Let’s see what Samsung will bring for its users.
