It was earlier known that Pokemon Go players were going to be given a break from the never-ending stringent of Legendary Raid battles. This particular string was expected to be replaced by another, equally exciting activity. Players have been involved in either winning or losing Legendary Raid battles since summer this year.
It undoubtedly was an incredible experience for Pokemon Go users to go back to hunting and evolving Pokemon. Niantic it seems, managed to take the option down for a day and a half. According to Forbes, they are back with an upgraded version of Legendary Raids.
The report suggests that Niantic made an announcement recently, establishing the return of Groudon on Raid Battles all over the world. If this turns out to be true, then this will be the first time that a Gen 3 Legendary is made available for users. Pokemon Go players can get their hands on this exciting Gen 3 Legendary item till January 15.
For those who aren’t aware, Groudon is a Ground-type mascot for Pokemon Ruby. The Pokemon is enormous in size and walks around like a burrowing Dragon. The creature even features thick, red-colored scales and sharp claws, which substantially completes the look. The Pokemon is granted a max CP of 4047. This makes it, the most powerful Pokemon in the game as far as statistics are concerned. There are many uses of a Pokemon of such a nature. Additional updates regarding this matter are expected to show up soon.
Apart from this, Niantic also seems to be planning something unexpected for the creatures participating in Raid battles. For now, Pokemon Go players can enjoy the Gen 1+2 tie-ups through Legendary Raids. Niantic hasn’t mentioned anything else as of now.
