Foldable Motorola Razr Gets New Features With Android 10 Update

Published on June 9, 2020

Motorola is introducing quite a few new features for the external “Quick View” display and some new visual customization options for icons with its Android 10 update for the new Razr.

The new features for the external display include the ability to do video calls using the rear camera, display Google Maps directions when the phone is closed, and reply to text messages with a full keyboard. Also included are better controls for music and new swipe-gestures to access your contacts or the camera.

Also included in the update are more customization options with new themes. This feature was already in the recently released Motorola Edge Plus. It lets you change Android’s icon style, colors, and fonts.

There are a lot of issues plaguing the Razr, though. It’s got an extremely high price of $1,500, the folding display is pretty unreliable, and there are concerns about its long-term durability. Also, it doesn’t have the best camera, and the battery life is nothing to write home about.

Why is Moto RAZR so expensive?

The new Motorola RAZR has such a high price because the foldable screen required to make it is expensive to produce. You are also, of course, paying a little for the ‘wow-factor’.
