According to a report by PC World, Microsoft usually makes minor changes when it releases a Windows Insider update. Things were different this time around. The development team at Microsoft, it seems, decided to make significant changes to Windows 10. They have added notable features such as Timeline to Windows 10.

The Cortana digital voice assistant has been redesigned to encourage users to pick up tasks where they left off last. Users can even record their past activities with the help of Cortana. Windows users will also be able to view Sets. As noted by PC World, Sets is Microsoft’s new way of functioning on multiple tabs.

As far as the under-the-hood improvements are concerned, Windows Insider includes several Fluent Shell additions. Microsoft has been able to make specific user interface improvements, which provides for ‘acrylic’ texturing as well. As mentioned previously, the ‘My People’ section has also been tweaked. Users can simply drag and drop contacts and even go on to rearrange them, as per their requirement. Windows users will also be able to view an ‘Active’ desktop option that allows individuals to make customizable changes to their display.

It appears like the wait for big builds to arrive for Redstone 4 owners is finally over. Rest assured, Windows 10 fans will remain occupied on holidays. The global roll-out for the same is scheduled to take place during Springtime.
