Google File Go’s new update and features

The giant search engine Google chrome launch Google File Go App last year, to finally offer a first-party solution for browsing the files on Android devices. It offers several features like identifying big files and folders, and much more. Unfortunately, it still isn’t built into the system itself, But on Play Store it has more than 10 million downloads till December 2017. Today Google Product Manager released another update of File Go, this update adds some more interesting feature in it.

Advanced App Installs-File Go Feature

In File Go if you have to share App to your friend, first you have to open the Browser tab in File Go, then there you will see installed Apps and APK files there, Select the one Apk, you want to share and choose to send with File Go option.
Then File Go will start the sharing process, which creates a local hotspot between the devices and works even if it neither has a data Pack available.

To accept the sharing request, you’ll need to open the Files Go app on your friend’s device, go to the Share tab and tap on the Receive mode. Once the two devices are connected, the apps will fly over from one device to another device.
There’s a new banner for Google Play Protect that explains the scan is there to protect you from harmful apps and points to this.
Media Player Feature-File Go

Now you donít need a third-party media player to play audio and video. The player also supports background playback and support all types of videos extensions.

SD Card Support Feature -File GO

Files Go app will now enable you to manage storage on an SD card. To see the new feature, make sure you are using an updated version of File Go from the Play store. At the top of the app, you’ll now see an option for SD storage on a compatible device.

File Go New Feature – Advanced Browser It lets you dig into the folder on your own phone. This has been one of the most requested functionality.

File Viewer Feature- File Go At the bottom of the app, there is a Files tab. The Files section offers a file manager view, with files broken down into small categories.The sections include downloads, received files, apps, images, videos, audio, and documents.

The files which appear in each category don’t surely come from the relevant Android storage folders. So, the Files Go app scans your device and adds the files to the app. You can delete and manage any files of the app.

The update including the features explained above already started rolling out. You can download or update Files Go.
