DaVinci Resolve For ARM Now Available For M1-Powered Macs

DaVinci Resolve is getting ARM support. The beta version is already available for from Blackmagic Design The beta software includes support for Apple’s new M1 chip. So, when the first wave of ARM Macs ship next week, users will be able to immediately use the filmmaking tool.

DaVinci Resolve is an industry-standard program for color grading, but it has become a popular video editor recently. The application also includes graphics tools and an audio editor.

A lot of it’s features are available completely for free, so it’s a great program for creators who are just getting started. Make no mistake, though. The free version of DaVinci Resolve is more than enough to get professional work done.

Apple is transitioning its creative-industry users to these new ARM-based machines. So, there are several apps that will need to be ready to run on them on day 1.
