Owners of the hybrid gaming console Nintendo Switch have long been waiting for the arrival of Dark Souls on the platform and it appears that their prayer has finally been answered. The game developer took long enough to confirm the arrival, however, they finally have made the much-awaited decision.

Dark Souls is coming to Switch, reveals Nintendo.

According to a report published by Tech Radar, the game was expected to make its debut on Switchback on January 10. However, the game developer did not end up introducing the game and instead thought it would be cool to compensate it with fans by leaving a tweet on their Twitter account, which read, “We Cruel.

However, it turns out the rumors weren’t entirely unfounded. Instead, the Direct appeared on January 11 with very little notice and brought with it a host of Nintendo Switch announcements.” The game was revealed in the form of a 15 minutes demo yesterday, instead of the full Direct stream version. Nonetheless, something is better than nothing right?

One of the biggest announcements that Nintendo made through Direct yesterday was the arrival of Dark Souls for Nintendo Switch. The game is expected to be launched on May 25 on gaming platforms – Switch, Xbox One, PC as well as PS4. This will be the remastered version of the original Dark Souls game. The game developer even showcased a trailer to the game. Unfortunately, not a lot could be gathered on the basis of what was shown.

The firm did not discuss the kind of improvements that the game will bring along with it. However, they confirmed on Twitter that the game will consist of improved frame rate as well as resolution. Furthering the trend, they plan on bringing more and more number of adult games on Switch – including PayDay 2 – which is expected to arrive on February 27.
