The price of Apple’s latest 24-inch iMac has dropped to the lowest it has seen since it debuted, which was just a few months ago. On Amazon right now there are blue and silver color options for $1,250. That’s $50 less than it’s normal MSRP. Soon after launch, the iMac got a $40 discount and, even though this is only $10 more of a discount, it’s still the lowest price this iMac has ever been sold for.

This iMac is equipped with Apple’s M1 SoC with a 7-core GPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM. It also has an ultra-fast 256GB SSD. The M1 chips in these Macs are absolute beasts. These M1’s are impressively fast and this is the same one used in the MacBook Air M1. The one in the MacBook Pro is also the same, but has 1 more graphics core enabled because it uses a fan. The M1 is ultra-responsive and makes these new iMacs able to wake from sleep mode instantly.

The new iMac also received an external facelift when it got the M1 upgrade. Now it has a 4.5K Retina Display that is surrounded by an ultra-thin bezel. Also, it has a new 1080p webcam that will look a lot better when using Zoom or when you are on a Facebook Video call. In true iMac fashion, Apple is offering these in several new, fun colors. All in all we have blue, silver, pink and green to choose from.

Like the other M1 Macs, the only issue with the 24-inch iMac is its ports (or lack thereof). You will only find two Thunderbolt ports on this thing. Generally, though, that is ok. Everything you need is built right in and thunderbolt is fast and powerful enough to run some excellent port replicators and docking stations.
