Lastly, it was announced by Adobe that they are bringing a full-featured app to iPad with “real Photoshop” this year. The app is now in beta testing at the moment, but recently it has been claimed by Bloomberg contacts that Adobe will preview an iPad version of Illustrator. Bloomberg now reported that the next Adobe CC app for iPad would be Illustrator.

Adobe may research Illustrator for iPad at its Adobe conference in early November and plan to launch the full version sometime 2020, as per the latest report. It is expected that the app may mirror many features from the desktop version of Illustrator. Last week it was reported by Bloomberg that the betas of Photoshop for iPad are missing some features and the other key functions from the desktop version, which may not be the same, which was promised.

Daring Fireball’s John Gruber wrote that Adobe is “genuinely all-in” on Photoshop for iPad. He also said that the team is planning to add features iteratively on an aggressive schedule. The app might provide an update on Photoshop for iPad at its Max conference, so we likely won’t have to wait longer to learn more about Adobe’s plan, reported by Bloomberg last week.

Both Apple and Adobe have a mutual interest in Photoshop and to bring Illustrator to the iPad. By bringing Illustrator, it is seen that Adobe is charging ahead with plans to bring more of its creative cloud software to Apple’s iPad. A spokesperson for Adobe did not confirm nor deny the rumor by telling that the company had “nothing new to share at this time.” The added cool feature on the iPad may lead people to switch their preference to use an iPad than other devices in the market.
