YouTube Kids is going to release 100+ specials and movies for free. This release is part of Google’s ‘After School’ project. Don Anderson, YouTube’s Family & Learning Leader, said in an announcement that the service aims to help parents who are trying to manage life, work, and their children all at once. These things have only been complicated by the work-from-home arrangements caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Anderson wrote:

[W]e want to help you with a library of high quality full-length movies and specials that will enrich as well as entertain your children, and that you can enjoy along with them.

Included in the selection will be Baby Shark and Pinkfong, Masha And The Bear, The Wiggles, Tayo the Little Bus, Oggy & the Cockroaches and of course, Paddington. There will be several educational specials, such as Sesame Street’s Elmo’s World News, and there will be new movies and shows making there first appearance using the platform. Kids will be able to look forward to new content each week to keep themselves entertained. The new content will be distributed every Monday under the platform’s ‘Shows’ section over the next five weeks.
