Vivo has launched brand new and much-anticipated smartphone Vivo NEX, and this will be the final retail version of APEX concept. As per the report, the smartphone will be launched in three different names, i.e., NEX, NEX A, and NEX S.
One of the major features of the Vivo NEX is its display. The device has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.24%. Users will get a full front display. The large screen has taken the entire front side of the device. There is no notch at the top of the display. The Vivo NEX has a 6.59-inch AMOLED Ultra FullViewdisplay. With 19.3:9 aspect ratio, it offers 1080 x 2316 pixels of display resolution. The NEX comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner, built with the 3rd generation in-display fingerprint scanning technology. It will offer 50perecent more accuracy with 10% faster performance. As per the report, the NEX variant will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, and the NEX Ultimate has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
As there is no notch at the top of the display, it is quite challenging to fix the camera on the front side. But Vivo has found the perfect solution for this. The company has implemented pop-up camera for the front located on the top of the display. The devices feature a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera configuration on the rear side, and all are powered with AI technology. The rear camera supports AI HDR, AI Filters, AI Scene Recognition and DCI-P3 colour gamut support. The 12MP primary sensor is a Sony IMX363 sensor. With 1.4 um pixel size it supports f/1.8 aperture. There is no OIS in the Vivo NEX, but the Vivo NEX Ultimate has 4-axis optical image stabilization. On the front side, it has an 8MP camera and supports f/2.0 aperture. It supports face beauty mode and powered by AI technology.
For the performance, the NEX carries a Snapdragon 710 SoC which clocked at 2.2 GHz. There are a 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In the NEX Ultimate, the users will enjoy the power of Snapdragon 845 Octa-Coe processor built with 10nm technology. In the NEX Ultimate users will get 8GB RAM and 2565 GB of internal storage. To provide better sound quality, Vivo has implemented 7.1-channel 3D audio and an AK4376A DAC chip in the Vivo NEX. On the other side, the NEX Ultimate carries a CS43199+SSM6322 audio chip.
All the devices run on Android 8.1 Oreo along with a new Energy UI custom UX. It will provide better and smooth user experience that the FunTouch OS. The devices will come with Jovi AI assistant made by Vivo. A 4000mAh battery will back the Nex Ultimate.
