Samsung has not confirmed the launch date of its upcoming device, the Galaxy Note 9. As per some previous reports, Samsung may introduce the smartphone in the first week of August, maybe on 9th August. Samsun will hold an unpack event in the New York. It may be noted that Samsung also launched the Galaxy Note 8 in August 2017.

While the company has not revealed the features and specifications of the device, a leaked image has revealed that the design of the Galaxy Note 9 is quite same as Galaxy Note 8. The cutouts of the sensors, earpiece and front-facing camera on the upper bezel of Note 9 is similar to the cutouts presented there on the front side of the Galaxy Note 8. That means the company has not given major changes to the design of the Note 9. The only difference is that the Note 9 has a bigger display than the Note 8. The Galaxy Note 8 has a 6.3-inch display, whereas the Galaxy Note 9 will come with a large 6.4-inch display.

Previously, some reports informed that the Galaxy Note 9 would come three different RAM and internal storage options. Its high-end model may come with massive 512GB of ROM with 8GB RAM. A recent report informs that the model exists, but the only selected market will get this variant of the Note 9. It is expected that this model is only for Korea and China.

Among those three models, one model will carry a 6GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The second one will have a 6GB RAM and offer 256GB of internal storage capacity. The last one will be an expensive device. Informing more about this, SamsunMobuile tweeted Galaxy Note 9 will come with 512GB ROM to selected markets (Korea, China and maybe more). After this, it is now expected that this model will not be launched in India. The Indian customers can only buy the 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM and 6GB RAM and 256GB ROM model.

Talking about its expected specifications, there will be 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. With 18.5:9 aspect ratio it will offer QHD+ display resolution. As per the sources, the thickness of the display has been reduced by 0.5mm to deliver better grip. The device has the in-display fingerprint scanner. The battery capacity will be much more than the Galaxy Note 8. While the Note 8 has a 3000mAh battery, the Note 9 will be backed by a massive 4000mAh battery. It will carry a dual camera setup on the rear. The Galaxy Note 9 may come in five colour variants, i.e., Teddy Brown, Black, Blue, Lavender, and Grey.

According to the reports, the Galaxy S9 and S9+, Note 9 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. But the devices carrying Snapdragon processor are not for the Indian market. The Note 9 powered by the Exynos 9810 chipset will be launched in India. The device will run on Android 8.1 Oreo along with Crown UX, the company’s custom Android UI.
