A student at Kansas State University says she’s at risk of losing her medication for bipolar disorder under the American Heath Care Act — the so-called repeal and replace healthcare bill that was just passed by Congress. Sandra Sparks, 21, told her emotional story at a town hall meeting in Salina, Kansas earlier this week.

“I didn’t ask for this. I was born with this,” said Sparks. “That pill that I take once a day would be $600 a month without insurance.” After hearing her story, Rep. Roger Marshall (R) was booed when he tried to assure her that she would not lose coverage.

President Trump celebrated the American Health Care Act vote, but the bill still faces a difficult path through the Senate before it becomes law.
