Sneak peek: A look into CES 2018

This year’s Consumer Electronics Show is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 9th January 2018. Technology freaks might already be aware of the value that this event hold. Often described as being the world’s biggest consumer trade show, the event serves as a platform for the debut of many incredible innovations.

Each year, the Consumer Technology Association (Founder, CES) selects about twenty products for the CES Innovation Awards. These products are selected on the basis of their design and engineering. The rules of being qualified for CES Innovations Award are pretty simple. They have to be launched between April 2017 and April 2018. While there is not much known about what this year’s event will bring to the forefront, following given is a short glimpse into what can be expected next. Take a look.

According to a report published by USA Today, a new type of personal robot called Buddy, backed by an Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant is scheduled to arrive in the market this time. He will be joined by a security camera robot, which goes by the name of the AR4X camera. The camera system is designed to recognize faces and alert the security system in case of possible suspects.

Another important introduction is that of Olie, a smart lamp by IntruMMents, which is designed to respond to commands made through Amazon’s Alexa or Google’s Assistant. A $400 headphone called Nura promises to adopt sound by turning your ears into speakers.

Apart from this, Nuviz – a display unit for motorcycle helmets that costs $700, is built with numerous features including navigation, a built-in action camera and music and more in order to allow riders to enjoy themselves. Lastly, there is a new type of gadget that offers artificial intelligence and an app to replace the store checkout and re-stocking called Aipoly. There are many other types of electronic gadgets scheduled to debut at CES, 2018.
