Samsung was in highlight for updating the A8 smartphone with some new specs and features. The company has today unveiled the first looks of the smartphone. There will be launches under this A8 series, i.e., Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8 Plus, both the smartphone will be named as the 2018 models.
The two smartphones vary in screen size and a few specs. The Galaxy A8 has a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED screen which a resolution of 1,080 x 2,220 pixel. The device will have an aspect ratio of 18:5:9. While in case of the bigger one, there will be the presence of 6-inch display screen along with small bezel at the top and the bottom. The sidelines will also showcase minimal bezel. The smartphone will not be as much bezel-free as that of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8, but still, it can be called as an “infinity display” smartphone.
When it comes to optics, the company didn’t leave any loose point. South Korean smartphone giant placed a dual-lens camera setup for the front and a qualitative camera for the rear panel too. In front, the smartphone will carry a combination of 16 megapixels and 8 megapixels, both with an aperture of f/1.9. For rear shots, the smartphone brings a camera of 16 megapixels with a f/1.7 aperture along with beauty mode, filters, and stickers.
Galaxy A8 will come with a 4GB of RAM running on an octa-core processor and packed with a 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone will also posses fingerprint scanner, IP68 water and dust resistance, MicroSD card slot and NFC for Samsung Pay.
The smartphones will get a release in January 2018, but this is expected that the company will unveil both the smartphones at CES 2018. This is still not clear that which country will get the availability of these smartphones.
When it comes to prices the Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus will be lesser in cost as compared to Galaxy S8 and Note 8 as the series is not in comparison with the high prices series of Samsung smartphones. It is also in rumors that the Galaxy A8 Plus won’t be available for sale in the UK until April 2018.
