Police forcibly removed protesters from outside Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office. The activists, many of whom had disabilities, were protesting Senate Republicans’ health care bill, which includes deep cuts to Medicaid.
“The senate version of Trumpcare is even meaner than the house bill,” said New York Senator Chuck Schumer. “It cuts health care for those who need it most, just to give a tax break for those who need it least.” There were reportedly more than 40 people arrested at the protest.
