Pocket gaming laptop GPD Win 2 announced at $649

Shenzhen based technology brand GPD has announced the successor of its successful gaming laptop ‘GPD Win’, an attractive and impressive Atom-powered gaming laptop which delivers utmost performance and quality. The company has announced its successor named ‘Win 2’. The company prepared Win 2 with much more powerful hardware and keeps the price tag matched with its predecessor one.

In place of Atom processor which was present in GPD Win has now been replaced with a Core m3-7Y30 with integrated HD Graphic 615, 8GB of RAM in place of 4GB, a larger screen size of 6-inch and with the same screen resolution of 720p. One major change which has been done in favor of the users is an increased battery power, nearly by 50 percent. Now the device packs two batteries of 4900mAh.

In terms of design Win 2 is just like an identical piece of GPD’s Win. The device is a small sized, power-packed, Windows 10 operated laptop built-in gaming controls. The only negative point about this is that it doesn’t suit everyone’s expectation, the off-screen size and design make divert your plan of buying this device with casual UI. But when it comes to performance the device is perfectly awesome.

The company claims that the device is a robust one in terms of performance, it says that the device is said to run Grand Theft Auto V at 38 frames per second on maximum settings. Some other detailed gaming examples include Overwatch on low settings at 50-70 fps and Skyrim at an average of 53 fps. Win 2 will surely stand well at user review as ratings as the company has now upgraded it with almost double the specifications which were present in its predecessor.

The device is currently listed on Indiegogo for $649. The actual price of the gadget is mentioned as $899, now it would be interesting to see whether GPD will get succeed in targeting the audience with this 27 percent of discount.
