OnePlus 5T ‘Lava Red’ arrives tomorrow
Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus earlier this year announced their plan on bringing the ‘Lava Red’ variant of a OnePlus 5T smartphone to the Indian market. The firm began posting teasers of the upcoming variant at the beginning of this year. As noted by Indian Express, the firm took to their official Twitter platform to post the ‘Lava Red’ variant of the OnePlus 5T smartphone for the Indian market.
The launch is expected to take place tomorrow, i.e. 11th January 2018. The price and availability information of the upcoming smartphone has not yet been revealed. The report by Indian Express suggests that the handset should be around the same price as the ‘Midnight Black’ variant.
It goes without saying that the ‘Lava Red’ edition packs the same kind of specifications as the one that appeared in other variants of the OnePlus 5T smartphone. The base model, i.e. the 6GB RAM model starts at somewhere around Rs 32,999 in the Indian market and extends up to Rs 37,999 for the 8GB RAM model.
On the display front, the smartphone packs a 6-inch FHD Plus front panel with an aspect ratio of 18: 9. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS supported by OxygenOS. The device is further backed by a 3,300mAh battery with Dash Charging technology. Camera wise, the smartphone packs a dual rear camera with 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel rear sensor and a 16-megapixel front shooter.
The company last month, took the wraps off OnePlus 5T (Star Wars Limited Edition) as well. It was exclusively available in a limited number of markets, including India. The limited edition model is available with 8GB RAM and 128 GB storage at Rs 38,999. This makes the price Rs 1000 more expensive than the regular model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The device also comes with a White Sandstone finish.
