Nokia 9 might feature an In-Display fingerprint sensor: Report

Nokia is in highlight for its upcoming flagship of Nokia 8 Pro and Nokia 9. At Mobile World Congress 2018, held at Barcelona, Spain the company introduced some hints of these forthcoming smartphone but today a new rumor has arrived which sounds anticipated. A new rumor came from China suggests that Nokia 9 will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.

This is also not clear that whether the forthcoming launch will be named as Nokia 9 or could be Nokia 8 Pro too, in addition to the current eight series of the company. Currently, the Nokia 8 series of HMD Global has two smartphones, i.e., Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco. Out of them, Nokia 8 Sirocco was announced at MWC 2018. HMD Global is expected to launch it’s Nokia 9 as the last premium device over the launch of the complete year.

Recent reports suggest that Nokia will launch its forthcoming Nokia 9 by the end of the year to lift up the sales during the festive season at the end of the year. Some tipsters have mentioned that the company might launch two smartphones Nokia 8 Pro and Nokia 9 collectively to fit in a segment of both budget and premium smartphones. Also, Nokia has recently confirmed officially that all its upcoming smartphone will be a part of Google’s Android One Program, running a stock version of Android Oreo out of the box. So this also confirms that the Nokia 9 would be an Android One smartphone.

Hints also project that Nokia 9 will be having curved edges just like Nokia 8 Sirocco which is in turn reminiscent of Samsung’s Edge Display panels. A large number of reports indicates that the Nokia 9’s in-display fingerprint sensor will lift up the sales of Nokia smartphones for the company. As of now, it’s unclear that which company will serve this fingerprint reader to HMD Global, but this collaboration could go with Synaptics, the San Jose-based company that’s currently offering best technologies to the industry.

Thera is many more companies which are focusing towards an in-display fingerprint sensor, Vivo showcased it’s V X20 UD concept smartphone at MWC 2018 that features a half-display fingerprint sensor. Samsung is also rumored to launch its upcoming flagship of Note 9 with the same kind of technology. With the continuous time, we’ll come to know more about this news.
