Nokia 5.1 up for pre-order, may be priced at Rs. 14,000: Report

Just one month back, HMD Global introduced the latest and affordable smartphone named the Nokia 5.1. The smartphone was launched in Moscow. Along with the Nokia 5.1, HMD Global introduced two more devices named the Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 3.1. While launching the device, HMD Global announced that the Nokia 5.1 will go on sale in July and will be available only for the Russian market. Later it will be launched in the global market. But as per the new report, pre-order for the Nokia 5.1 has been started in Russia and customer can pre-order now. The device has found listed on Russian Nokia official online store. But there is no information about the price of the device. It is expected that the Nokia 5.1 will be priced at $200, in India it will be around Rs. 13,000. There is also no information about the availability of the device. It is expected that HMD Global is expected to launch the Nokia 5.1 and the Nokia 3.1 in India soon.

Talking about the features and specifications of the device, the Nokia 5.1 carries quite good specifications. The Nokia 5.1 carries a 5.5-inch FullHD+ display. With 18:9 aspect ratio, the smartphone supports 1080 x 2160 pixels of display resolution. A 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protects the display. 

One of the biggest changes in the device is, unlike other Nokia smartphones, the Nokia 5.1 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P18 octa-core processor. It is the latest mid-tier mobile chipset from MediaTek.The chipset clocked at 2.0GHz. Along with it, the device has a Mali-T860MP2 GPU for graphics performance. 

Users will get premium look design in the device as it is developed with 6000-series anodized aluminium. The fingerprint scanner is located on the rear panel of the device. Talking about the optics, the Nokia 5.1 carries a 16MP camera on the rear side. The rear camera is supported by a dual-tone flash and features Phase detection Auto Focus. On the front side, the users will get an 8MP camera and have an 84.6° lens. There will be two different RAM and internal storage configurations. In one configuration there will be 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage capacity. On the second storage, the device will have a 3GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage capacity. A 2,970 mAh battery backs the device and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. The starting price of the device will be around Rs. 14,400.  

The device supports a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and FM Radio. As per, the report the device will be available in the Globally from July in three colour variants, i.e., Coper, Tempered Blue, and Black. On the other side, another Nokia smartphone has gone on pre-order, i.e., the Nokia 8110, the banana phone.
