MIUI 9 with AI Portrait and other interesting features will be rolled out in India soon

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi, last month launched its new ROM MIUI 10 in China. Now, the company has just recently launched the MIUI 10 Global ROM in India. As per the information, the new ROM will come with some interesting features. It will bring AI Portrait mode to the device and will offer faster user experience than the previous MIUI ROM version. Apart from that, users will enjoy the full-screen display gestures which I there in iPhone X. Well, Vivo has implemented these features in some of its devices. The new ROM will also enhance the sound quality of the device as it will bring latest sound technology and ambient noises to the device.

There will be the latest version of Mi Music, Mi Video, Browser, and a new quick menu in the ROM. As per the official report, the beta version of MIUI 10 Global ROM will be released during the middle of June, and only the selected device will get this. The stable version of the ROM will be rolled out in September.

Here are the device names which will get the MIUI 10 Global ROM update- Mi Mix 2, Mi 6, Mi Note 2, Mi Max 2, Mi Max Mi 5s Plus, Mi 5s, Mi 4, Mi 5, and Mi 3. Apart from newly launched Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Not 4X, Redmi Note 5A, Note 5A Prime, Redmi 3S, Redmi Y2, Redmi Y1 Lite, and Redmi Y1. However, the company has not mentioned any particular date when it will roll out the update.

Now talking about the features of MIUI 10 ROM, there will be four major features in the ROM, i.e., speed, sound, AI Portrait and design. It carries two-level system optimization features. The Product Manager, Sudeep Sahuhas stated that the overall performance of the ROM had been boosted up by 10 percent than the previous version.

The company has shown a comparison test between a Redmi 5 Pro running on MIUI 10 and a Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo running on Samsung Experience 9.0. The test concluded that the MIUI 10 is three times faster than the Experience 9.0.  The new full-screen display gestures will surely enhance the experience. To go to home screen, users can swipe from bottom. To return to previous screen swipe from the edges. For recent view users can swipe from the bottom and hold it for some seconds.

The update will also bring a newly designed recent view. The MIUI Notes inspire the new design. It will batch all the cards on the one screen and view those users can swipe vertically. To remove the task from recent view just swipes it. Users will find new system apps like Calendar and Weather app. The notification panel has restructured. For sound enhancement, MIUI 10 Global ROM comes with natural sounds and ambient noises. Users will enjoy the high-quality sound effect.

In China, the ROM has the AI Portrait feature. Through this, users can add bokeh effect without any secondary camera. That means, users with single camera device now can also enjoy bokeh images. Thanks to its AI feature which identifies the foreground and blurs the background.  The camera can also scan Paytm QR code scanner, enabling the users to do cashless transactions with ease. To know more about different business and services, the ROM offers a quick menu tab for business and services messages. Users will get options like visit a website or dial phone number options. This new tab will support more than 100 services.
