Allo Communications, the ISP you have never heard of, is growing. continues to grow. Due to demand, they could be forgiven if they were not able to maintain its ultra-fast internet speeds.

Allo Communications’ parent company, Nelnet, released fledgling ISP’s most recent financial report. The report shows that Allo gained over 10,000 new customers in 2020 alone.

The financial report, however, isn’t the only paperwork making Allo look good. According to reviews.org, Allo takes 3rd place in the United States for the fastest internet speeds. This shows that Allo’s meteoric growth has not put the squeeze on the company’s internet speeds.

According to PCMag, Allo’s download speeds grew from 142 megabits per second in 2018 to 156 megabits the following year. Then, in 2020, Allo’s average download speed hit almost 179 megabits per second,

Still, Allo’s ranking in the fastest ISP list actually dropped. This was due to newer, even faster internet providers showing up in Cedar Rapids and Minneapolis. The new additions saw Allo fall to 4th place in its local region and 9th nationally.
