Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus will reportedly be launching its next-generation OnePlus six smartphone in the span of the next couple of months. The company’s 2018 flagship has been the talk of the town ever since rumors and speculations regarding the alleged device showed up online. OnePlus has been at it when it comes to revealing exciting details about the handset’s different specifications as well. Earlier last month, the company’s CEO Pete Lau reportedly announced that the upcoming smartphone would be home to a notch on the front panel. With this, it is confirmed that the Cupertino technology giant will be following the Cupertino technology giant Apple’s footsteps. As can be recalled, the company launched its 10th-anniversary-iPhone device iPhone X smartphone that came along with numerous high-end features.

The list included specifications such as a facial recognition technology, a 3D front camera for Augmented Reality (AR) technology, a dual rear camera system, and a front notch. Little did the company know that what they ended up introducing with the iPhone X smartphone would go on to inspire so many other Android players to follow them up with the same feature. A new report further goes on to state that the smartphone will be introducing in three new color variants. The story first emerged on the official website of CNMO, wherein they stated that the smartphone is expected to arrive three different color models. The list includes Black, White, and Blue to name a few. Several renders suggest that the smartphone has already been leaking in the form of renders on the official Chinese microblogging website Weibo. Before this, the smartphone manufacturer introduced its smartphones only in Black and White color variants. This move will reportedly be the first time wherein the company will be launching smartphones in three different color variants.

The leaked images that showed up on Weibo showcased a new red color Alert Slider feature on the heavily-speculated OnePlus 6 smartphone. Notably, the smartphone is the same as the one that has been seen on the OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition as well. Reportedly, the Chinese technology giant recently tweeted a teaser video, which highlighted the Alert Slider feature on the upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone. The handset would be used for manual focusing that will make the smartphone user experience much more comfortable. The smartphones go on to feature a vertically-aligned dual camera setup. The smartphone would be home to a fingerprint scanning feature on the front side as well. The fingerprint scanning feature is reportedly rectangular in size. In an exciting development of the story, the smartphone — for the first time — goes on to feature an edge-to-edge display as well.

As far as the other specifications are concerned, the smartphone will reportedly be home to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip. On the storage front, the handset would go on to offer 8GB of RAM along with 236GB of inbuilt memory. The device would also go on to pack a 3.5mm headphone jack. Numerous reports suggested that the smartphone manufacturer is working toward integrating the wireless earphone capability.

This move led to many speculations wherein people assumed that the handset would arrive devoid of the 3.5mm headphone jack. If this turns out to be true, then the smartphone manufacturer would end up sporting the same design as its arch-rival Apple iPhone X. However, the company had interviewed on their official Twitter account wherein they asked the users of what they would like to see in the upcoming flagship smartphone. They were explicitly asking whether they would like the 3.5mm headphone jack on the OnePlus six smartphone. However, the results suggested that they would prefer the headphone jack.
