2019 Shield TV Pro is now available after a log waiting with amazing features and functions. The new Shield TV Pro comes with an advanced and improved remote to provide better performance. The latest NVIDIA’s Android TV devices have come with the Netflix button on its remote. The Shield TV has a Netflix button that can be re-assigned or disabled as per your requirements.

How to remap the Netflix button on the new Shield TV remote?

2019 model shield TV remote has come with some additional buttons on it like navigation, playback, and Netflix button. If you don’t want to use the Netflix button or want to use something more useful, then the remote can be remapped with some steps. Steps to re-assign or disable the Netflix button are:

  1. On your shield Install and launch the button Mapper, 
  2. In the second step, you will be able to see an Accessibility service, which will ask you to enable it. Enable it,
  3. After allowing ‘add buttons’ will open on the page. Select on the Add Button and then on your remote click on the Netflix button,
  4. To customize it, pick the newly added button from the list and toggle the setting.

By following these steps, you will be able to remap the Netflix button on your remote. You do not need to upgrade for the re-assignment of the Netflix button. Some of the features may require to improve and can be used only by the pro users. Some of the Android TV boxes also provide you with the option of Button Mapper, but there might be some bugs that cause security and performance may issue in your TV. If you want, you can also launch a different app with the help of the remapped button.
