95% per cent of the population is engaged in social media for connecting people and engaging themselves to work through it, social networks sites such as Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and many more. From many years Google has also involved its social media platform from many years with the name as Hangout. Many users also treat this platform as good.
According to Wikipedia as well: Google Hangouts is a communication platform developed by Google which includes messaging, video chat, SMS and VOIP features. It replaces three messaging products that Google had implemented concurrently within its services, including Google Talk, Google+ Messenger (formerly: Huddle), and Hangouts, a video chat system present within Google+. Google has also stated that Hangouts is designed to be “the future” of its telephony product, Google Voice, and has already integrated some of the capabilities of Google Voice into Hangouts. Users can be messaged by their Google+ accounts.
But now Google decided to finally disown this app from its collection in the year 2020. About the hangouts app, Google earlier mentioned that this app should spit in the two segments, one in the Hangouts Meet and Hangouts Chat. Google is making many differences with it, such as it has also removed the SMS support in May 2017. Google simply said that it needs that there should be video call with users more than chat. One interesting thing which Google has added is that we will now focus more on the RCS features to as many carriers and smartphones as it can. You all must be wondering what is RCS feature? Basically as said by Google, it is enabled to improve message functionality which will be used as the default messaging service.
Basically, it will help you to enable read receipts, also to chat with multiple numbers of people and also to share media files up to 10 MB without any problem. This was just to give you better messaging apps which would be better than replacement. As of now, hangouts didn’t receive any updates from Google. The Only thing which is possible is to wait for the updates.
