Therefore, none of the information can be taken as final. All the details regarding the upcoming handset have to be taking with a grain of salt. Earlier this week, there have been more speculations and images depicting the new handset. Thanks to the report by Tech Radar, we now have a better idea of what the upcoming LG G7 smartphone might look like as such. The report by Tech Radar further claims to have spotted a button on the side of the leaked images. The report feels that this might be an indication of LG’s long-lived plans. The company has long been wanting to integrate an LG AI-dedicated button on their smartphones. The upcoming smartphone it seems will go on to feature LG’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature. With this, LG joins all the other Android players in the market that pack a similar AI button.

As noted in a report by Tech Radar, the trend was kickstarted by the South Korean giant Samsung. As can be recalled, the South Korean technology giant launched its 2017 flagship line-up, Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones with a dedicated AI button that Kickstarter Bixby. At that time, it was crucial for the South Korean giant to introduce something that would help them revive their lost glory. The year 2016 was a particularly bad year for Samsung. Thousands of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphones started exploding, leading them to ban the line-up permanently. The shocking incident left a permanent dent in Samsung’s impression. Therefore, they had to bring something that would help them win the consumer’s trust again.

In a similar effort, they worked towards creating a line-up that would impress the audience. Their Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus line-up were received positively by the audience. While its camera and display specifications managed to win the love of many, experts deemed its dedicated smart assistant button as being structural bloatware. A recent report by Tech Radar goes on to reveal that LG might be following Samsung’s footsteps. It appears that the company might be integrating its flagship smartphone with its virtual assistant button. The smartphone will allegedly be called G7 ThinQ. “Now the TechRadar leak reveals that LG may follow suit with its button on the left of its new LG G7 ThinQ, except it’s likely for the company’s AI-powered camera feature rather than a Bixby clone,” notes the Tech Radar report.

As can be recalled, LG launched its AI-dedicated features on the V30S ThinQ smartphone back in February this year. It seems like the G7 smartphone will be second such LG device that will continue to follow the same kind of trend. The ThinQ name will come embroiled with the upcoming flagship offering. The numerous leaks also go on to suggest that the smartphone might sport a 6.1-inch screen with a nearly bezel-less display. The smartphone, just like most other copy-cat Android players, will be integrating the first notch. On the right side of the device, the alleged LG G7 ThinQ will feature a power button to kick-start the handset.
