In the list of Microsoft’s beloved IPs is Fable. Despite its troubled history, the system has med to surpass three generations, with a fourth one already on its way. Earlier in 2017, Xbox Head Phil Spencer had confirmed that the series wasn’t going to end so easily. Numerous in the recent past indicate the same, i.e. the developer Playground Games is working on introducing a new Fable game. Needless to say, Microsoft still hasn’t confirmed this as yet. It is highly possible that we might eventually view a launch this year.
Fable 4: Release date
According to a report published by Tech Radar, since Microsoft still hasn’t confirmed the existence of Fable 4 as yet, we don’t know any specific date as such. In a recent report, Eurogamer speculated that Fable 4 is currently in its development stage. Furthermore, it is also rumored that Playground Games plans on boosting its team numbers to up to 200, as they wish to speed up the process. Most others feel that the game won’t come out until 2020 at least.
Fable 4: Everything that you need to know
There have been signs of Fable 4’s existence for long now. The latest one has arrived from a report published by Eurogamer. The report, which was published earlier this month, suggested that the high-budget Fable game was actually in works. “The report says that the game is planned to be an open world world action RPG with a focus on character and story,” claims Tech Radar.
It’s interesting to note how familiar Playground’s Fable 4 pitch sounds to the one that Lionhead represented, prior to it being rejected. This brings to the question as to why exactly Lionhead Studios is not taking charge of the project, as they have been for the past three generations. It is being believed that due to utter failure that they faced last time, the responsibility of creating Fable 4 is being carried forward to another producer.
