Don’t Miss Tesla’s Battery Day During It’s 2020 Annual Meeting of Stockholders

On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 1:30 PM PST, Tesla will hold its Annual Meeting of Stockholders. Directly after the 2020 Annual Meeting, Tesla will hold a separate ‘Battery Day’ event. You can watch the live stream below when its available.

Virtual Meeting

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Tesla is also providing stockholders as of July 31st, 2020 the means to join the 2020 Annual Meeting virtually. The virtual meeting will include the live video webcasts above, plus the ability to submit votes and written comments on meeting agenda items. To be able to join the virtual meeting, you need the password, which is ‘tsla2020‘, and a 15-digit ‘control number’ that is unique to you. You can find your control number in 1 of 2 ways:

• A small minority of Tesla stockholders own their shares directly. If you are a ‘stockholder of record’ who has shares registered in your name with Tesla’s transfer agent, Computershare Trust Company, you can locate your control number on the ‘Notice of Internet Availability’ or paper proxy card that was sent to you. If you were sent a card, it’s important to check that it is for the meeting that is scheduled for September 22nd, 2020, NOT the previously scheduled meeting on July 7th, 2020).
• Most Tesla stockholders own their share indirectly. If you are a ‘beneficial owner’ and hold shares through a broker, bank, or app, you will need to register in advance to obtain your control number. Ask your broker, bank, or app-based organization for a ‘legal proxy’ for the 2020 Annual Meeting. Then, submit a copy of your Legal Proxy to Tesla from your e-mail address with ‘Legal Proxy’ in the subject line. If this email is sent by September 17th, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST or earlier, Tesla will have time to send you your control number.

Limited In-Person Events

Addition, Tesla is expected to accommodate stockholders in-person at the 2020 Annual Meeting and Battery Day event. However, due to mandated restrictions on the size of in-person gatherings, Tesla will only be letting a very limited amount of stockholders attend the meeting and event.

Tesla will be in strict accordance with a format that provides robust health control measures. Tesla will also employ additional safety measures and screening protocols to protect its attendees and personnel.

To maximize fairness, Tesla is conducting a random drawing to determine its stockholders’ eligibility to attend the shareholder meeting and battery day event in person. Unfortunately, the deadline for entry has already passed. It was Friday, August 28th, 2020, at 11:59 PM PST.

If Tesla selected you in the drawing, you are further subject to Tesla’s confirmation of your identity through receipt of valid government-issued identification. Selections are non-transferable. If you would like, you can take a look at the Battery Day Drawing Terms on Tesla’s website.
