Cyberpunk 2077 has set a new record. It has officially had more simultaneous players in a single-player game than any other title. The total figure at its peak was 1,003,262 playing the game right after launch on December 10th.

That figured bests the prior Steam record of 472,962 players that was set by Fallout 4 in 2015. It was not just beaten by a small margin, but Cyberpunk 2077 beat the last record by over double.

Remember, It’s a Steam Record That Cyberpunk 2077 is Breaking

That record-breaking number doesn’t even fully capture every PC player. Cyberpunk 2077 is also available on Epic Games, GoG, and Stadia, among other streaming services. So, this 1 million+ figure doesn’t take everyone into account. Also, it doesn’t count anyone playing the game on a console.

There was so much traffic on the server that Steampunk 2077 actually took down Stream’s servers for a little while
