BlackBerry Key2’s global sale will start from July 13: BlackBerry
Recently, BlackBerry announced that it would be launching its all-new smartphone BlackBerry Key2, with a combination of classic style and modern software very soon. While all are waiting to hear about the release date of the device, finally the company has officially announced the date for the device. As per the latest report, the device will be released on 13th July. While some expected that it would be released globally, including India, some informed that it would be only for the United States.
As per the report, the BlackBerry Key 2 will carry a starting price tag of $649 in the US market. If it comes to India, the device may be priced at Rs. 43,726 in India. However, BlackBerry has not revealed the availability and price of the phone for the India market. When the company launched the device, it was launched in two color variants, i.e., Silver and Black. TCL has slightly changed the design of the device. It has cut down the bezel size and has increased the physical keyboard size. The BlackBerry Key 2 will come in two different storage options. The standard model will come with a 64GB internal storage option, and the high-end model will offer 128GB of internal storage. It is now expected that the device will be available in India from 13th July.
The Old BlackBerry KeyOne has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. But the Key 2 has an upgraded SoC and comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor which clocked a 2.2GHz Octa-Core processor. For better graphics performance it also has an Adreno 512 GPU. With a 6GB RAM, it has a 64GB storage model and 128GB of storage model. The storage capacity can be increased up to 256 GB using a microSD card. However, the BlackBerry Key 2 has a smaller display. It has a 4.5-inch IPS LCD screen. With 3:2 aspect ratio, it supports 1080p screen resolution. Talking about the software section, the device runs on Android Oreo version 8.1 which is a stock version.
Users will get a lot of applications with the device which is there to enhance the security and productivity of the BalckBerry Key 2. Coming to its optics section, the smartphone has a dual rear camera setup which consists of two 12MP sensors. The primary sensor supports f/1.8 aperture, and the second sensor has a f/2.6 aperture which provides better depth.
The rear camera supports 2X optical zoom. On the front side, the BlackBerry Key 2 carries a single 8MP camera which supports f/2.0 aperture. A 3,500mAh battery backs the smartphone and comes with Quick Charge 3.0. As per the report, Amazon and Best Buy will provide the unlocked version of the BlackBerry Key 2 with two color option, i.e., Silver and black. The smartphone will work on GSM networks like AT & T and T-Mobile. As BlackBerry has increased the key sizes, users will enjoy a comfortable typing experience. After all, the device is designed for those who are in corporate professionals and will help them in their work.
