Apple’s Mac and iPhone surprise coming in 2018: Report

There have been a variety of reports on Apple in the last several days. All eyes are on the Cupertino giant for what it plans on doing for 2018. The firm has reportedly decided to unify its MacOS and IOS operations. If operating systems for both manage to get combined into one development process, then app developers will have an easier time creating products for Apple devices. The company is also rumored to be considering investing in the entertainment industry. According to a report by Fortune, the firm has already hired executives from Amazon for this purpose.

As mentioned previously, Apple is speculated to create a unified experience for both Mac and iPhone/iPad operations. This secret project will allow developers to create one app that can be used on all Apple devices. The firm presently requires two versions of the same app, if they need to work on both, MacBooks and iPhones or iPads.

If the company manages to establish a unified experience for all the products, then they will be reducing third-party developer cost and resource requirements significantly. Furthermore, the Cupertino giant will be successful at delivering a uniform experience across all of the company’s hardware. The feature is expected to see the daylight sometime next year.

The firm has also apparently hired three Amazon Studios executives this year. This is done with the intention to expand the company’s original content offering. The company will be focusing on acquiring original video content for its users. Apple has reportedly invested around $1 billion on producing original content.
