Apple iPhone 12 Looks Like It Will Be Produced In May, Possible October Release

Published on June 9, 2020

We have been curious to know when the iPhone 12 is going to be announced, and when it’s going to go on sale, but more rumors are surfacing regarding other details of the phone. According to sources close to Apple, the iPhone 12 models with a 6.1-inch display will begin production in July. This time-frame is later than previous generations, which started production in June. Because of this one month offset, Apple may not be able to make its usual September launch.

The info is coming from DigiTimes, which is known to have strong ties to the supply chain used by the major phone manufacturers. Still, it also has a somewhat spotty history regarding accuracy. There is quite a bit of uncertainty on the launch of the iPhone 12 family, so at this point, just about all dates and rumors carry some value.

The report also says that the 6.1 inches iPhone 12 smartphones will be the first to be manufactured before the other new models that we think will have different screen sizes. The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Max is expected to have a 6.1-inch screen and will start production earlier on account of the type of touch systems used in them as compared to 5.4 inches iPhone 12 and 6.7 inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.

What Colors Will the iPhone 12 Come in?

The iPhone 12 Pro Max come in new colors including violet, light orange, and light blue.

What is The Release Date For iPhone 12?

The new iPhone release date will more than likely be in September 2020.
