Amid Food Crisis, Venezuela’s Leader Urges Citizens To Eat Rabbits
Published on November 12, 2017
Venezuela’s food crisis is having a devastating effect and the country’s leader has now proposed a new solution: breed rabbits for food.
While the government says rabbits will provide essential protein and will help boost food availability, observers point to “Plan Rabbit” as an indication of how bad the food shortage has become.
President Maduro’s critics have dismissed the plan with one opposition politician calling it a “bad joke.”
