2018 Apple iPhone X could be priced more than $1,000
Apple completed ten years with its iPhone flagship. The Cupertino technology went on to introduce a particular version of their smartphone called iPhone X. The device was home to significant next-generation specifications. The Apple iPhone X was strong enough to deliver tough competition to most other Android flagships in the market. Many might have thought that the company won’t create a tradition of launching successors to the 10th-anniversary-iPhone device. However, that might not necessarily be true. It seems like the Tim Cook-led firm is planning on introducing its successor this year. In other words, the company won’t be launching two iPhone devices. Instead, they will take the wraps off three iPhone devices at the grand event held in September. Ever since the news broke out on the internet, there have been numerous speculations about the subject.
A new report states that Apple might price its iPhone X 2 smartphone somewhere over and above $1,000. The list of three iPhone devices that Apple plans on launching includes a 6.1-inch device that will support an edgeless LCD. The family will further be joined by a next-generation iPhone X smartphone. The last addition will be an iPhone X Plus that features a 6.5-inch OLED display technology. As per the statements provided by analysts, the upcoming 6.1-inch OLED display technology-starrer might carry a competitive price. At the same time, there are a lot of conflicting reports about the next-generation 5.8-inch iPhone X smartphone as well. The price point for the iPhone X smartphone might retain it’s $1,000. The lowest priced smartphone might be somewhere around $900. The report emerged online after a new investor note from UBS analysts Steve Milunovic and Benjamin Wilson had been releasing as such. “Specifically, both analysts claim that Apple might raise the entry price on the iPhone X this year from $1,000 to $1,100.
The company apparently believes that once they establish a price band, they typically prefer sticking by it. The behavior has been consistent as far as most of the previous Apple flagship smartphones are concerned. “They believe that “once Apple establishes a price band it typically keeps it, consistent with what we’ve heard from former Apple employees,” the UBS told clients in a note recently,” the report by Business Insider reads. At the moment, there is no information regarding Apple’s iPhone pricing available as yet. Therefore, not much will be known about the upcoming devices from the side of Apple until the executives release details about the project themselves.
However, it does not necessarily mean that Apple won’t launch an iPhone X smartphone that carries a $1,100. It is highly possible that the company launches a smartphone that gives a $1,100. The company seems to be taking the upward path ever since 2017. We are not sure whether the decision will end up ruling out in their favor. There are chances that the company might completely disregard the price factor and launch a product for the affordable sector. However, like mentioned previously, this aspect will only be known once Apple makes an official announcement.
Currently, it knows that Apple is looking to exploring both LCD as well as OLED technologies. The smartphone manufacturer is considering both as they want to play the price factor fairly for the affordable generation as well. It only goes to show that Apple is actively working toward carrying out all deeds that Steve Jobs stood against as such. We are not sure whether it might work in their favor.
