Simple modifications include the sewing of Velcro inside the pack, inclusion of a custom cut heavy plastic backing (also with Velcro), and the attachment of an inside the pocket type holster appropriately sized for your gun. Many backpack makers make many good models of these logo fanny packs. These would include models from Mountainsmith (look for the excellent Vibe II model,) REI Lode, Eastpack, Pac Safe, Jansport, and Eagle Creek. Stay with streamlined fanny packs that ride close to the waist and ones that attach to the side if possible. Under an untucked shirt, a properly chosen logo pack will ride unobtrusively and will attract no attention. The logo pack is perfect camouflage. Downsides would include slower gun access that will need to be offset with practice. But overall it is a quick attachable and detachable way to always leave the house armed with something substantial, without altering your outfit.
