Yamaha FJR1300 Dynos at 127HP at 4300ft

t is one of my favorite long distance sport motorcycles: the Yamaha FJR1300. Shown a lot at this point in TNP, this is another workhorse of our moto adventures here. It looks cool, it’s fast, has cruise control, is comfortable with its power windscreen and great seats and more. It tours the western US currently and has shown it be fast in California. But up at 4300 feet elevation is lost a lot. I installed a Power Commander V in it. MPG dropped to low 30s (from low 40s!) though. Time to correct this because without an excellent range, this bike is worthless to me. We again take it to Rick ./////////////Contact Rick Scoggan at Adrenaline Service and Dyno Tune (475 W 3600 S Salt Lake City, UT 84115; Phone: (435) 513-5425) for a horsepower check up in THIS video and later a full tune. Unlike every other crap Dyno video in YouTube filmed with a flip phone, 30 seconds long with an abrupt ending and no explanation, this is a fun and informative video of the motorcycle Dyno process. Rich has a cool dog too! We were happy with this result, now look tuning to restore economy while maintaining torque and power.
