Will Hot Water freeze faster than Cold Water? These test experiments were done outside the laboratory and in the real time of -15 degrees below zero. The water must be thrown up, as the cold air easily surrounds the drops and freezes them. This experiment was the suggestion of my “Thermal Heat Pump expert”, Rick Stanton of Sibley Sheet Metal, Inc. He said hot water would freeze faster than cold water, so here we find out for sure. I simply tried it and it worked. You don’t believe it, call Rick.

This effect on liquids is called the Mpemba Effect.

Basically, the “Mpemba effect” is the observation that, in certain specific circumstances, warmer water freezes faster than colder water.

Hope this stimulates your mind and is good for discussion. Now go get that A+ and thanks for attending my class and subscribing.
