Popular chatting platform WhatsApp has long spoken about the introduction of an individual, exclusive exchange application specifically meant for businesses. After severe speculation, WhatsApp Business has finally witnessed a global roll-out. The first time WhatsApp spoke about the existence of such a concept was sometime last year. The company officials had stated that businesses would be verified before being able to use the platform.
“People all around the world use WhatsApp to connect with small businesses they care about — from online clothing companies in India to auto parts stores in Brazil. But WhatsApp was built for people and we want to improve the business experience. For example, by making it easier for businesses to respond to customers, separating customer and personal messages, and creating an official presence,” Your Story quotes WhatsApp as saying.
WhatsApp officials even went ahead to state that the application will be available for download for free on the Google Play Store in Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, UK, and the US immediately. Rest of the other markets will probably have to wait for a couple of weeks before they can use the application. However, there is no specific timeline for the same. The platform is designed with the intention of making it convenient for companies to get in touch with their potential consumers. The application is integrated with numerous features. Following is a list of its primary features:
Business Profiles: This will allow potential consumers to make use of the information in the form of business description, email or store addresses as well as websites.
Messaging Tools: The application comes equipped with several smart messaging tools, which will allow individuals to make quick replies and stay connected with potential consumers.
Messaging Statistics: Will help businesses review simple metrics like the number of messages read to see what’s working.
