If you looked up at the night sky at the right time on Sunday, you probably saw the rare blood-red supermoon lunar eclipse, which could be seen from the Americas, Europe, Africa, parts of Asia and the east Pacific. It hasn’t happened since 1982 — and won’t happen again until 2033.

This timelapse, tracked by Associated Press cameras, shows various stages of the moon moving through the sky, including the eclipse peak and the moon coming out of the Earth’s shadow.
