It WAS “ground breaking” when it first came out in 2007 and still is one of the best subcompact major caliber pistols in the world. The Walther PPS meets and even exceeds the excellent standards of its competition like the S&W Shield, Springfield XDS, Glock 26/27, KelTec PF-9, and Sig P938.
