To recall, Vivo first showed the in-display fingerprint scanning technology at CES, 2018. The company at that time confirmed that the smartphone that would be carrying the feature, was ready for mass production. According to a report published by Financial Express, the Vivo X20 Plus (previously known as Vivo X20 Plus UD) would be powered by Synaptics’ Clear ID 9500 optical under-the-display fingerprint sensor, which would enable the technology to extend support for many types of functionalities.

As far as other specifications are concerned, the smartphone is expected to sport a 6.43-inch OLED display with 2,160 x 1,080 pixels resolution. Furthermore, the handset will come powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor with a storage option of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt memory. It has also further been speculated that the device might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 system-on-chip. However, the same hasn’t been confirmed by the company as yet.

When it comes to the device’s camera, the Vivo X20 Plus is expected to sport a dual rear camera system with 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. On the front side, the handset will sport a 12-megapixel sensor. The X20 Plus will be home to a 3,800mAh battery and will include numerous connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G and GPS among others.

“The Vivo X20 Plus is said to pack 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expanded via microSD card up to 256GB. The smartphone will be available in Black Gold, Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Matte Black color options,” reports Financial Express.
