U.S. Marines train on the Infantry Immersion Trainer (IIT) at Camp Pendleton. The IIT is a mixed reality training facility prototype for small unit Infantry located in Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. The interior of a warehouse has been turned into an embattled town through the use of sets, and special effects such as projections, pyrotechnics, sounds, and smells.
