THIS GUIDE IS INTENDED FOR USE WITH A ROOTED NEXUS DEVICES RUNNING STOCK ANDROID.
In this softModder tutorial I’ll show you how to update your rooted Nexus to the latest version of Android without losing all of your data. if you’re not rooted, you can apply the over-the-update just by going to Settings… About… System Updates.
When you’re finished with this video, you should be up to date with root and custom recovery—and all of your data will still be intact. The Xposed Framework will need to be reinstalled if you’re using it, but all of your modules and settings will be installed and activated just as they were.
