About a month ago, one of my friends, Casey Newton, discovered some peculiar news regarding ‘s next big release. He found out that was getting ready to launch their new app called, ‘ #Music’. Spokespeople from had confirmed this, and then in the last week, celebrities have been “checking out” ‘s new product. On April 17th, 2013, showed off ‘ #Music’ on Good Morning America (GMA). The media took hold of the neat concept, and the circle-like login page at music.twitter.com, became something real. The app features a bunch of tiles with popular music tracks. Categories can be set for what your followers/users you follow are listening to, emerging artists, and what is popular. A hinderance is the fact that you only receive the iTunes preview if you are not subscribed to Rdio or Spotify.

Once you push a tile, you receive this record-style interface that plays your song. It is quite cool, and mixes modern music/concepts with vintage records. The best part is its free. Give #Music a try, and after a few moments, you’ll be hooked on the tweeting concepts built in, and the UI.
