There’s some bad news for the fans of Twitch streamer, Dr DisRespect. The favourite Twitch streamer took to his official channel today to announce that he plans on taking some time “away from living to stream.” From his post, it seems like he wishes to spend some quality time with his family.

As reported by PC Gamer, Dr DisRespect writes, “I have a beautiful family, and a wife and kid. And I want to be transparent that I’ve been unfaithful. I apologise to you guys, and my sponsors, and Twitch. This is not who I am; this is not what I represent. That’s it.” As noted by SocialBlade (Former Designer for Call of Duty: WWII), Dr DisRespect is the sixteenth most popular channel on Twitch. The user consists of over 1.4 million followers on the platform. Sponsors such as Razer, Turtle Beach, GFUEL, the ASUS Republic of Gamers, Need for Seat among others are in an official collaboration with Dr DisRespect. The user is known for his macho identity and energy-filled catchphrases. The first time that DisRespect shot to fame was back in 2017, through the means of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Since then, he has been a series regular for the fans. The user was even granted the Trending Gamer Award at the Official Game Awards show last week.

Dr DisRespect even seems to have decided to boycott significant events. “After recent events, NetEase andDr DisRespect have mutually agreed that he will not be taking part in the Rules of Survival ‘Hunt the Streamer’ event on the 17th with 29 other streamers at DrDirespect’s request. The event was to let players enjoy the battle royale with their favourite streamers, giving them the chance to win up to $30,000. With DrDisrespect’s absence, his time-slot during the event will be replaced by a streamer soon-to-be-announced. Any questions can be directed to us if any outlets have any questions about the game,” Chinese company, NetEase announced.
