We use a thermometer to determine how much pressure these test tubes are under. Temperature and pressure are relative whether it is water/steam or refrigerant, CO2, propane, etc. in a pressure vessel. By determining the internal temperature, we can determine the pressure, and visa versa. Is it accurate? Probably not.
I recently bought some new test tubes off ebay from Discount Vials, and I have to say I have the buying experience was wonderful. I will begin using those test tubes in upcoming videos.
SAFETY WARNING:
Common sense dictates that this is dangerous. Although this is a “small-scale” test, it is dangerous to some degree. We are not trying to make a bomb, but a pressure vessel with a controlled-release of pressure to demonstrate pressure/temperature relationships.
