It was January 22nd, 2012… one year ago… when the press release hit that Research In Motion, maker of BlackBerry had a new CEO. It was out with the old — Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis — and in with the new, Thorsten Heins.
We’ve been impressed in every which way with Thorsten on the job. Internally, RIM is a different company today, in a good way. BlackBerry 10 will be his first baby launching viewable by all… the first big thing he’s really judged on, so we wish him the best in his second year with the launch of BlackBerry 10.
